How can I keep member dues costs down?
One option is to pay for an annual membership upfront. In doing so, you receive a 13th month free of charge. You are also locked into the price for a full year, regardless of dues increases that may occur during the year.
Several good habits help keep costs down:
Always wear clean athletic shoes in the facility to keep floors and equipment clean and prevent excessive maintenance. Use all fitness equipment according to manufacturers recommendations. Inappropriate use of equipment causes premature repairs or replacement. Always shower with soap and water before using the pools. Perfumes, lotions and oils clog filters and require additional chemical additives to correct pH and chlorine levels. Remember to place used towels and robes in the designated laundry bins. Keep center hair dryers and locker room amenities for use at the center only. Replacement of items taken from the center is costly.
I would like to rejoin the Wellness Center, what do I need to do?
To rejoin the Wellness Center, please visit our Member Service Desk to complete the necessary re-enrollment paperwork to initiate your membership again.
Can I bring a guest to the Center?
Yes. Guest fees are $10.00 per visit. Each guest is limited to 3 visits per calendar year. A guest must be 18 years of age to use the facility on his or her own. A guest 12 – 17 years of age may use the facility if accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. A grandparent may bring their grandchild with a alternate guardian authorization waiver form signed by the parent or legal guardian. A guest waiver form is completed once a year for the Center. Members receive two complimentary guest passes on their birthday.
I would like to add my spouse to my membership, what do I need to do?
Simply stop at the Member Service Desk to add an additional family member or person that resides in the same household to your membership. The enrollment fee (if applicable) and first months dues for the additional member are due at the time of enrolling. A service desk representative will complete the agreement. The current member and the new member must sign the agreement to activate the new member.
Can my 12 year old be a member at the wellness center?
Yes, the Wellness Center has reduced the minimum age for an individual membership to allow 12-15 year olds to become members on parent’s account. Teen members must complete an equipment orientation before they can begin working out at the Center. Ask for details. 12-15 year olds can now be guests at the Center. They must be accompanied by their parent and/or guardian. A waiver needs to be signed by the parent and/or guardian.
I need to leave the Center for a few months, what options do I have?
Members may request that their membership be placed on hold (“bridge”/”freeze”). Requests may be honored for medical reasons (freeze), temporary relocation or optional bridge (bridge). To submit a bridge/freeze request, please contact the Member Service Desk. All requests for membership bridge/freeze must be submitted in writing and approved by the Center Director.
Bridge/Freeze time will be approved in full month increments only. Membership dues for any members on an approved bridge or freeze will be suspended. Center access is not permitted during a membership bridge unless a $10 day pass is purchased. Members on an approved medical freeze are not permitted to use the facility until released by their physician. Memberships may be placed on a medical freeze for a minimum of one (1) months and must not exceed five (5) months with a note from the physician. Memberships may be placed on a temporary relocation bridge for one (1) months and must not exceed five (5) months and relocation address must be provided. Memberships may be placed on an optional bridge request for one (1) month and must not exceed three (3) months (limit of 3 months in a calendar year). No combination of any bridge or medical freeze can exceed 5 months in a calendar year. Please see the Member Services Desk for complete bridge/freeze details.
